A:

We are always looking for hosts for our full three-day events. Being a host usually means offering space, helping to make practical arrangements for things like food and lodging for participants and leaders, and being part of a team to promote the event and bring it off successfully. We love to work with teams of local hosts-so if your church can offer space, and you know of another congregation or organization who can help provide meals, and there's a person in your choir who just seems to know everyone and has a lot of engergy to contribute towards networking and advertising...well, you'd be off to a good start to be the host of an MMC event.

Since we only put on four main events per year, we often get more offers than we can accept. In those cases, we are often able to put local communities in touch with one or two of our leaders, who can arrange for one-day workshops specifically tailored to their talents and interest and the needs of the particular community in question.

Beyond that, there are lots of singings, services, lectures and symposiums and even barn dances that happen in the communities of people who have participated in MMC events before. Many of these events are relevant to the work we do at MMC--you can find them listed by distance from you in the "Community Events" section of our calendar.
