Music that Makes Community has allowed over a thousand participants to experience a style of community-based song leadership that values hospitality, shared authority and creativity. Music that Makes Community is a network of practitioners of this style of leadership, connected through the belief that the questions "What did you notice?" and "Why do we sing this way?" are questions that we need to keep asking ourselves and one another.

A note about tax deductions:
Music that Makes Community is still waiting for approval of our 501(c)(3) status from the IRS (a process that can take up to a year). The IRS policy on donations made while an application is pending is that when we're approved, all donations made previously will be tax deductible. We are confident that Music that Makes Community's nonprofit status will be approved, but we want be transparent about the fact that we can't 100% legally guarantee that your donation will be tax deductible.
